Lee was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990, having received
his LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto.
He has practiced with Gilbertson Davis Emerson LLP as trial
and appellate counsel since 1998. In 2000, he was certified
by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil
Litigation.

Lee's
practice consists of a wide range of civil litigation including:
insurance litigation involving personal injury, property damage,
and coverage disputes; commercial law; and professional responsibility.

Lee
was elected Chair of the Civil Litigation Section
of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) for the 2008-09
term. Lee served as Vice-Chair in the 2007-08 term. He will
also sit on OBA Council
for the 2008-10 term. |

In 2008, Lee was also appointed Chair of the OBA's
Main Continuing Legal Education Committee which
develops and approves CLE programming for the OBA, and which
he has served since 2006. He is also the OBA delegate to
the 2008 Uniform Law Conference of Canada,
and is also the OBA representative on the Attorney-General
for Ontario's Justice Partners Advisory Committee.

He has previously served the OBA in various capacities including
Co-Chair of the Civil Litigation program for the OBA's
Institute of Continuing Legal Education for 2006
and 2007, and civil litigation representative to the OBA
Civil Justice Reform Working Group.

Lee serves on the Law Society of Upper Canada's
Barrister Advisory Group, which has oversight of
substantive competencies of the Barrister Licensing Examination
in Ontario, and in 2007 he served on the Law Society's Certified
Specialist Review Group of the Professional Development
and Competence Committee.

Lee
is a past-Chair of the Outreach Committee of the Medico-Legal
Society of Toronto, an organization of doctors
and lawyers, and has been a member of its Council since
2000.

Lee
is also a member of The Advocates' Society, L'Association
des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario, Canadian
Defence Lawyers, and Toronto Lawyers Association.

Lee
has lectured in Continuing Legal Education programmes offered
to the bar, has served as a moot court supervisor at the University
of Toronto Faculty of Law, guest speaker at the Ontario Justice
Education Network's Summer Law Institute, and has been a visiting
teacher at high schools in the Toronto area.
